Wool has been grown at Cavan Station since 1820. It was one of the earliest settler farms to be established in Australia, and a pioneer of its wool industry.
In the 1960s, it was purchased by Rupert Murdoch, who owns the 20k acre ranch today.
In April 2021, it was announced that Murdoch's ranch had reached a $500k deal to sell carbon credits to Microsoft, brokered and accredited by Regen Network Development.[1]
