Before starting the Poseidon Foundation, its founder Laszlo Giricz spent 17 years as a business and technology consultant for the world’s largest investment banks, including JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, and UBS.[1]

In 2018, the Poseidon Foundation used blockchain technology to facilitate the sale of credits from the Cordillera Azul National Park as offsets for Ben & Jerry's ice cream.[2]
