Ecosia is an internet search engine which devotes the majority (80%) of its surplus revenue to reforestation projects.[1][2][3]
Carbon-Negative
Ecosia has stressed that it is not just carbon-neutral but carbon-negative. Combining its tree-planting initiative with investment in solar energy to power its servers (running on "200% renewable energy"[4]), each search is said to remove 1 kg of CO2 from the atmosphere.[4][5]
