Young Thug described in an interview, regarding his alleged campaign to become president, how he would interact with billionaires and his response was:

"I'll change the status of billionaires. I'll probably give a person that's gonna proceed to make a billion...I'll make it so that you have to endorse this money somewhere, you have to give this money to the poor," ... "We gonna take this shit away. We gonna freeze it... If I'm the president, I'm gonna do it for the people."[1]

Innovations to Rap Music

Gender Fluidity

As he [Young Thug] explains in a video for Calvin Klein’s Fall 2016 campaign, “In my world, you can be a gangsta with a dress or you can be a gangsta with baggy pants. I feel like there’s no such thing as gender.”[2]

RICO Trial

Thug and Gunna were among the nearly 30 people named earlier this month in a Fulton County, Ga., indictment, one that alleges YSL, aka Young Slime Life, is an Atlanta area gang. Now, fans of Thugger know that his record label is also called YSL, and Gunna, as Thug's protege, releases music under that outfit. Gunna is being charged with conspiracy to violate Georgia's RICO Act, while Thug's being charged with one count of conspiracy and one count of participation in criminal street activity.

The paperwork they got on them dates as far back as 2013, and it includes charges ranging from possession of marijuana to assault with a deadly weapon to murder. What it also includes are social media posts and rap lyrics from Thug and Gunna. Tracks like "Anybody" are being admitted as evidence of, quote, "overt act in furtherance of a conspiracy."[3]

Elton John

After witnessing Young Thug in the studio, Elton John says he was “just blown away.” During a recent interview with Billboard, he opened up about the time he saw Thug’s freestyle abilities in person.
“I mean, I’ve seen Marshall [Mathers] do it in Detroit, but I’ve never seen someone like Thug come in and do that,” the legend said. “In the end, I had to leave because I think he felt a bit intimidated that I was there, and I just wanted him to relax. But it’s just an amazing moment in my musical life…I have no understanding of how rap records are put together, and it’s fascinating to watch.”[5]
