Over the last two decades, resident-owned cooperatives have become an increasingly popular way for mobile home owners in the U.S. to fight rising housing costs and support climate resilience. They provide a cooperative structure of common land stewardship which protects against predatory landlords and private equity, while facilitating the community-wide adoption of green infrastructure such as solar arrays and drainage systems for flood protection.[1]
