Since its founding, the Macdoch Foundation has distributed nearly $14 million in grants.[1] Notable recipients include Soils for Life and the Farming for the Future initiative established by the Foundation as a "flagship program".[2]
Although claiming to be climate-friendly, multiple foundation executives previously worked for the climate denying media empire NewsCorp, including Chairman & Founder Alasdair MacLeod and Business Operations Manager Karin Chan[3]
Soils For Life
Macdoch Foundation provides "core funding" for Soils For Life by supporting its salary and administration costs.[4] Alasdair is currently Chairman of Soils for Life, and a quote from CEO Eli Court is featured on the front page of Foundation website advertising Sois for Life as the "leading national non-profit supporting Australian farmers to regenerate soil."
Farming for the Future
In the words of Chairman MacLeod, the purpose of Farming for the Future is to "allow all Australian farm businesses to maximise the potential of their natural capital." Farming for the Future's partners include the Australian National Farmer's Federation.[5] According to the NFF website, its partners include McDonald's.[6]

Fibershed Executive Director Rebecca Burgess is featured on the front page of the Foundation's website, as one of the leaders the Foundation is engaging. The organization is also listed as a Foundation partner.[7]
The Nature Conservancy
The Nature Conservancy is listed as a partner on the Foundation's website.
World Resources Institute
The World Resources Institute is listed as a partner on the Foundation's website. According to WRI's annual report, the Foundation is a major donor and contributed over $750k to its operations between 2020 and 2022.[8]
