Like Verra, the Climate Neutral Group is a member of the IETA[1].
Methane Reduction
In an article titled "Why is decarbonising and methane reduction so important?," the Climate Neutral Group declared: "Focus on the reduction of methane... Methane is the second most important greenhouse gas contributor to climate change following carbon dioxide. On a 100-year timescale, methane has 28 times greater global warming potential than carbon dioxide.... Focus on reducing methane emissions in the (energy &) agriculture and waste sectors is urgent..."[2]
Yet the CNG supports The Savory Method as implemented by Ruuts, despite Allan Savory's advocacy of globally intensifying cattle ranching exacerbating agriculture's #1 source of methane emissions.
